We are looking for a Director, Network & Security to join our A-team (hybrid* / remote)!
The Director, Network and Security will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's network infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. This role requires a strategic leader with a comprehensive understanding of network systems and cybersecurity practices. The ideal candidate will be adept at both technical problem-solving and strategic planning, with a track record of managing teams and projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:Network Management:Oversee Network Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain the company's network infrastructure, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and cloud-based SASE solutions.Optimize Network Performance: Monitor network performance and implement improvements to ensure high availability, reliability, and efficiency.Network Troubleshooting: Address and resolve network issues and outages, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.Cybersecurity Oversight:Develop Cybersecurity Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy to protect Allucent assets and data from threats and vulnerabilities.Implement Security Measures: Oversee the deployment and management of security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols.Incident Response: Lead and manage responses to security incidents, including identification, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.Team Leadership:Manage Teams: Lead and mentor the network and cybersecurity teams, providing guidance, support, and professional development.Foster Collaboration: Promote collaboration between network and cybersecurity teams and internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.Policy and Compliance:Develop Policies: Establish and enforce network and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices in line with industry standards and regulations.Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.Vendor and Budget Management:Vendor Relations: Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring their solutions meet company security and performance requirements.Strategic Planning and Reporting:Strategic Initiatives: Lead the creation of network and security designs as part of the company's strategic planning for a global cybersecurity program.Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders on network performance, security posture, and ongoing projects.Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in network engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications (CCNP, CISSP, CISM) preferred.Experience: 5-10 years of experience in network management and cybersecurity, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role.Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of network infrastructure, security frameworks, risk management, and incident response.Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset for both network and cybersecurity challenges.Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations and standards such as GDPR, GxP, and NIST.
