IFF is very excited to welcome a new Regional Payroll Manager to our team, and we hope it's you! This position can be based in Asturias, Madrid, or Barcelona (Hybrid or Remote working model). Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of the payroll team. Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements. Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner. Direct the preparation of payroll related documents. Oversee benefit plan administration for some countries. Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements. Prepare relevant monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports. Coordinate data uploads and payments to external payroll service providers. Coordinate payment approval for all payroll runs and ensure necessary approver setup in banking platforms. Approve all payroll payments (salary, tax, ss) bank accounts specific for payroll processing. Coordinate all year-end reporting requirements. Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements. Work closely with the payroll accounting team for GL reconciliations. Support the simplification and standardization of the payroll process within the countries already in scope and look for opportunities to improve and optimize. Process payroll checks for executive staff. Support all internal and external audits related to payroll. Interpret new legislation impacting payroll and ensure payroll systems are up to date. Manage payroll processing relationships with multiple vendors. Performance manage and develop payroll staff. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 10 years' experience in Payroll role, at least 5 years in a leadership role. Prior experience working in a shared service center environment with large multi-national corporation. Managerial/supervisory experience, ability to keep a calm demeanor and manage difficult people, perseverance, positivity. Knowledge of applicable payroll laws and regulations. Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred but not required. In-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing across multiple countries, preferably in France and Germany. Ability to work under pressure and deadline. Solutions-oriented problem solver. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices is preferred but not required. IFF is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
