Role The selected person will integrate within Arup's workflow developing the following tasks:
Production of fire safety/code compliance strategies as an integral part of building and infrastructure project designs, collaborating in multidisciplinary teams (both internal and external to Arup) and producing formal submission reports Fire safety review and audit work in existing buildings and infrastructures Development of engineering methods and calculations related to develop design alternatives to code requirements, from simplified calculations to advanced modelling with CFD, FEM or people movement simulation methods Research in fire-related topics
To be currently studying a Degree in Engineering or Architecture Special interest in fire safety and an understanding of building design Proficient English and Spanish communication skills, both written and spoken (C1)
Assessable requirements It will be valuable to be studying (or planning to enrol) a Master's Degree in Fire Safety Engineering or similar It will be valuable to have knowledge of computer and technical programs specific to the position Conditions Be enrolled in the university to be able to establish an agreement with the University Duration: 6 months of extendable internship (possibility of joining after completing the internship) Schedule: From 20 to 40 hours per week to be defined with the student Remuneration: will depend on the student's level of training and the number of hours established How to apply for the internship?
