Job Description: Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a FCAS2024: Lead Domain Architect & CWE Chief Engineer Airbus S.A.U (d/m/w) .
The successful applicant will join the FCAS Program within the Transformation Programs Architecture Team, part of Architecture Management.
Within FCAS, a Common Working Environment (CWE) is being designed and implemented as an enabler for restricted cross-national and cross-industry collaboration.
Your role will be the lead architect of the CWE & PMT architecture squad and the chief engineer for Airbus SAU.
The mission of Architecture Management is to plan and design state of the art, sustainable and secured enterprise digital solutions for our customers, partners and everybody.
To fulfil that mission the following main roles are involved: Enterprise architects define architecture principles, standards and target states together with an enterprise roadmap.
Domain architects define domain specific target architectures across business domains and architecture layers in line with program needs and lead their technical management.
Both enterprise and domain architects are supported by solution architects for the detailed design of the individual components.
We not only look for an architect taking part in the FCAS Program, but we also need a transversal architect capable of going through and learning new technologies according to the speed of change of the digital arena.
As a member of the Architecture Team, you will be involved in projects and initiatives running under the Airbus Defence and Space Digital Organisation to enable and foster Airbus Digital Capabilities.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities: Accountable and responsible for the development of FCAS specific target architectures, and to improve existing blueprints & standards in line with the overall enterprise architecture principles & standards.
Responsible for planning and prioritizing architecture support across the different domains (e.g.
for architecture design and implementation guidance) according to FCAS program priorities.
Accountable and responsible for the alignment of the architecture design for the interconnected business capabilities linked to the end-to-end business value streams of the FCAS program.
Accountable and responsible for the continuous update of a harmonized horizontal (across business domains) and vertical (across architecture layers) integrated as-Is & target architecture in order to identify architecture integration points and interdependencies using Archimate and SysML modeling tools.
Responsible for the cross domain Integration (inter-dependencies and functional/technical flows between components) and technical management (plan and lead technical activities and perform technical reviews) of the FCAS program.
Accountable and responsible to architect the high-level solution designs (functional and technical design of application and infrastructure) and its proper implementation, verification and validation according to the needs and constraints (business requirements, compliance and sustainability).
Accountable and responsible for identification, evaluation and proposal of solution options for architecture concerns within FCAS program.
Supporting the data strategy by delivering FCAS data architecture and technical foundations.
Desired skills and qualifications: You have knowledge in Information System architecture and Model-based Systems Engineering principles.
You have knowledge of TOGAF and ArchiMate; ability to model in Sparx Enterprise Architect.
You have knowledge of SysML and systems modelling methodology; ability to model in Cameo Systems Modeler.
You have experience in applying the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) – 4 layers is a plus.
You have experience in leading multi-functional teams and interacting with governmental customers.
You have architecture experience and knowledge in PLM, ALM, ERP, MOM, MES as well as authoring backbones for Engineering, operations and customer services.
You speak English at negotiation level and Spanish at advanced level; additional languages (i.e.
French, German) are a plus.
