In Airbus Defence and Space, we are looking for a System Engineer for the department in charge of Ground Support Systems and Electronic Warfare solutions.Our product portfolio enables the whole Mission Management cycle from planning to debriefing, including aspects of the mission execution.The successful applicant will lead our technical activities as System Engineer in the context of FCAS. He/she will participate and contribute as our technical representative in FCAS forums (NGWS, NGF-D, Combat Cloud and other related R&D/R&T projects) developing the current commitments and looking for new opportunities by coordinating department proposals from the Mission Management perspective.Our vision is to create and operate for military forces, government organizations and nations real-time, collaborative multi-platform mission services.Your main tasks and responsibilities will include: Represent the department in the FCAS perimeter, contributing from System of System Engineering perspective.Participate in FCAS projects, in terms of technical analysis, solution proposals, documentation and System Engineering modelling.Attend multi-disciplinary national and international technical meetings where different CoC specialists work jointly to develop concepts/solutions in the FCAS perimeter.Foster R&D and R&T proposals oriented to FCAS scenarios.Awareness of activities and initiatives within the department CoC in Spain & Germany in the perimeter of FCAS.Interface with Chief Engineering offices, technical managers, architects and programme offices.Required skills: Experience in Systems Engineering.Knowledge in System of System and FCAS domain.Ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment.Good communication skills and pro-active nature.Open minded, agile and keen to new challenges.Ability to coordinate technological proposals.Desired Skills: Experience in Electronic Warfare and/or Ground Support Systems.Systems engineering in avionics of Eurofighter, A400M, Eurodrone would be a plus.Software architectures background.
