It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is a founding member of the European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe).
The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress.
Context And Mission: The Accelerators and Communications for HPC Group leads cutting-edge research and development around accelerators/coprocessors in HPC and high-performance networking.
We collaborate closely with major vendors like NVIDIA and Intel.
Key Duties: Coordinate software-hardware co-design efforts in the project Advise on RD related to homomorphic encryption in collaboration with researchers, research engineers, and students Write papers and scientific documents Drive dissemination and communication tasks (attend conferences, drive related training events, etc.)
Requirements: Education: PhD in a related field (already acquired or nearby graduation) Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience: Cryptography background, preferably in Homomorphic Encryption from a computer science perspective Competences: Good English level, scientific writing, able to understand or quickly acquire basic concepts of computer architecture and software optimization/parallelization Conditions: The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support for relocation procedures Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement Starting date: ASAP Applications procedure and process: A full CV in English including contact details A Cover Letter with a statement of interest in English, including two contacts for further references Applications without this document will not be considered.
