We are searching for an exceptional Remote Engineering Manager to join our client's dynamic software development startup. Our client is a prominent multi-asset liquidity and technology white-label solutions provider for brokerages and exchanges, and with a well-funded operation and a team of over 200 employees, they are revolutionizing the industry.
Responsibilities:
Manage the software engineering stream and sub-stream to ensure efficient project execution and product development.
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the stream employees.
Onboard and offboard engineering team managers.
Provide technical validation of the system requirements and solutions, aligning it with the company strategic vision.
Control over the planned release development timeline.
Control over system design and product architecture.
Synchronize priorities with the Product Manager across the B2Core stream.
Constantly improve CI/CD practices in the department, tech radar, technological stacks, and protocols and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges and opportunities.
Report progress weekly and monthly to the Operational Committee.
Obligatory:
Strong knowledge of Go (8.0+), Unit/Integration/Feature-Testing.
Minimum 5 years of commercial development on GO (at least 3 years during the last 5 years).
At least 2 years' experience in a technology leadership role in teams of 10+ people.
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, web application architecture, and database design, experience with applying SOLID, DRY, KISS principles.
In-depth experience in distributed systems, microservices architecture, understanding of Twelve-Factor App principles, experience building Cloud based SaaS applications.
In-depth experience in Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with any message broker (NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.), Redis, relational DBs: PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferably:
Experience in splitting backend monolith application to microservices. Experience with observability: logs and metrics collection, application profiling and tracing, errors collection with Sentry, visualization with Grafana. Expertise in one of modern PHP frameworks: Laravel or Symfony.
