As an Engineering Lead at Yokoy, you'll play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical direction and execution of our projects.
You'll lead a talented team of engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in everything we do. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strategic vision to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products and solutions.
What you'll do:
Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable and high-performance software solutions that meet business objectives and user needs.
Architect robust, maintainable, and extensible software systems that adhere to best practices and industry standards.
Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for our projects, aligning them with business objectives and market demands.
Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable technical plans and deliverables.
Ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines, maintaining high standards of software craftsmanship and engineering excellence.
Identify and mitigate technical risks, challenges, and dependencies, proactively addressing issues to keep projects on track.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, advocating for their adoption where appropriate to enhance our technical capabilities and competitive advantage.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (6+ years) in a senior or leading engineering role, with a proven track record of designing and delivering complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems.
Strong technical proficiency and relevant practical experience with Node.Js and Typescript as a programming language.
Proven experience with cloud software architecture (e.g., GCP, Azure, or AWS).
Knowledge of cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, DynamoDB, MongoDB) and data storage solutions.
Proficient in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
Strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
Passion for technology, innovation, and continuous improvement, with a desire to stay ahead of the curve in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
You speak English fluently; other languages are a plus.
