Electrical rotating machines, both in its generation or motoring functions play a vital role on the propulsive and non-propulsive electrical management.We are looking for talented candidates who can reinforce our engineering team by bringing their experience in their field of expertise as well as making the difference through proven interpersonal and collaboration skills.Your AccountabilitiesAs part of Airbus, the job holder will be accountable for developing and integrating electrical machines (e.G. generators) for both existing and future A/C platforms capable of dealing with the challenges of both classical/hybrid propulsion system and non-propulsive needs, to have a holistic approach on the overall energy management systems of the aircraft.The job requires interactions with a large community of stakeholders: Program, flight and lab tests, supply chain, system installation, airframe, quality, procurement, certification, chief engineering, other aircraft systems, and subcontractors.Your Main ResponsibilitiesCo-develop electrical machines for existing and future aeronautical applications.Integration of an electrical machine on an engine environment by understanding the design constraints of a rotating machine (cooling, lubrication, installation, vibration, etc).Co-develop Equipment/System ensuring compliance with defined standards of safety, cost, quality, time, performance, and maturity.Define/evaluate the different control and protection strategies of an electrical machine.Perform design trades and evaluate electrical machine topologies and the underlying technology bricks focusing on maturation and implementation capabilities.End to end Supplier follow-up during the entire development cycle.Co-develop simulation models for design trades and multi-dimensional evaluations.Who We Are Looking ForRequired Educational Background and Experience:Degree in Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering or related.Proven experience in electrical machine integration (mechanical and electrical).Proven experience in electrical machine control and protection strategies.Proven experience of system engineering processes, V&V, supplier and project management.Experience in power electronics and high voltage applications.Experience on thermal and lubrication management of electrical machines.- Strong relationship building, networking, and communication skills; - High degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality, and trust; - Eager to learn and to have fun.Languages: Negotiation level of English
