We are looking for Early Childhood Support Teachers to join our Explorers program (for students aged 1-3 and 4-5) starting August 1, 2024 in any one of the following locations:
Kotor, MontenegroAndalusia, SpainTuscany, ItalySintra, PortugalBali, IndonesiaSupport teachers are partners in education, working together to provide the best educational experience possible for each child. The support teacher's role is to assist the classroom teacher and allow more effective utilisation of the teacher's abilities and professional knowledge. Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
Primary responsibilities **Candidates with an EU passport/residency will be prioritized.** Accountability for learning: Inspires students to achieve maximum learning by employing various teaching techniques, methods and principles of learning to enable students to succeed academically, socially, behaviourally and emotionally.Develops engaging and meaningful activities after collaborating and consulting with educational professionals and community service providers (i.e., social services, public health, medical providers etc.) regarding the needs of students, which will ensure that there is an outstanding student experience and learning environment in the classroom every day.Leads small group instruction and collects required data to determine a child's progress in the classroom so they can meet the objectives in their IEP.Fosters a culture of learning and acceptance by acting as an advocate for children with academic, social emotional or behavioural concerns, and models appropriate social skills to the peers in the general education classroom.Instructional design and practices: Support staff are welcome to dedicate some hours a week to lead, plan and teach particular workshops or sessions in their areas of expertise and passion.Directs small group or individual instruction as instructed by the educator and works cooperatively by sharing ideas and concerns.Implements solutions for each student and situation by carrying out programs that can be taught individually or in groups that allows for the student to achieve maximum independence.Implements behaviour management activities that promote a safe learning environment for all.
