The Sales and Marketing Manager Associate Director will be part of CSL Seqirus Commercial Operations Spain organisation and will lead the Sales team. Based in Barcelona, you will design, develop, and implement marketing strategies and tactics for the company's portfolio and future assets and drive leading strategic market positioning, especially tender shaping. Your focus will be to expand market share whilst protecting price value and develop budget and long-ranging plans. You will have a hands-on focus on defining and managing advertising, sales, and promotion budget, and be responsible for developing long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will be a great people manager and have full accountability for flu campaigns and potential new Covid vaccine launch. You will develop and deliver all marketing and sales brand plans on time. You will lead team coordination with key priorities for each member as well as defining team roles, ensuring team engagement and development through appropriate team management, training, and coaching.
Responsibilities include:Responsible for development of the value/brand proposition and marketing plans and lead tactical executions of the plan in Spain, ensure consistency in brand messaging, compliance in promotional activities and gather insights to improve or create new marketing programs.Drive the strategic and brand planning processes for Seqirus portfolio.Set brand objectives for Seqirus products that will help achieve overall business objectives.Develop budget and long-ranging plans.Responsible for defining and managing the advertising, sales, and promotion budget.Develop communications strategy and cross-functional activity plan for target segments/customers.Lead the execution of marketing tactics, obtain approval through appropriate copy-clearance committees, ensure full compliance as outlined by the Seqirus SOP on promotional materials.Define the strategy around tender shaping strategic market positioning for the existing and new pipeline.Manage relationship with advertising agencies, provide feedback on copy and creatives consistent with the brand promise and strategy.Drive congress execution, partnering with external agencies around booth development and logistics, key customer events, symposium, product presentations, etc.Monitor short and long-term market trends that impact brand and continuously identify opportunities and gaps to feed into the strategic and tactical brand plans.Develop KPIs and measure impact of programs on revenue (ROI) and other objectives.Responsible for achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team at national level.Aim to expand market share whilst protecting price value.Designs and implements a strategic sales plan that expands company's customer base and ensures strong presence.Develops and maintains long-term relationships with key customers, opinion leaders and other groups influencing the health system.Manages, recruits, sets objectives, coaches, and monitors performance of KAMs.Supports Customer Service and Tender Team to capture customer feedback and/or requests, and respond to them in a timely manner.Monitor customer satisfaction to ensure customer experience is consistent with brand promise.Perform ad hoc analysis of market data and sales performance, as needed.Monitor competitive intelligence and competitor activities, and make appropriate recommendations, as needed.Partner with Medical Affairs to ensure business objective alignment.Support the development and execution of portfolio-based programs.Ensure the alignment of marketing and medical strategies to achieve overall business objectives.Engage with Medical Affairs for the implementation of marketing and sales tactics.Collaborate with Medical Affairs for the organization of KAMs Trainings and routine updating of the scientific background.Support other cross-functional portfolio related activities.Coordinate with Demand Planning the product supply and set accurate rolling forecasts.Monitor inventory during the sales season.Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs the in-country batch release process.Support Customer Service and Tender Office for any product-related need.Deliver oral and written communications, develop, and make presentations to commercial management, KAMs, and other internal groups and stakeholders, as needed.Support all aspects of promotional expenses management and ensure the budget compliance.Ensure compliance to Procurement policies of external agencies.Qualifications, skills, and Experience:Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Life Sciences or Business/Marketing. MBA a plus.English proficiency.10+ years' pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare industry experience with special focus on sales and/or marketing.Knowledge of the pharmaceutical market and regulations.Experience leading teams.
