Temporary contract for 6 months approx.
Primary purpose: Manage all credit control and reconciliation functions on allocated accounts, including cash collections within credit terms, minimizing bad debt and query resolution, while ensuring compliance and audit requirements are met. To secure payments on an assigned group of accounts by means of telephone, correspondence, or personal contact.
Job Summary
Review accounts on a daily basis to clear cash and production entries within guidelines.
Manage Cash Application & Bordereaux Processing.
Cash Matching & Allocation to the Policies with Cognizant team.
Investigate and resolve unallocated & unmatched cash with Profit Centers & CSU.
Investigate and resolve premium differences with client/broker/profit center.
Identify and escalate brokers/clients who exceed payment terms.
Assume ownership of individual goals and objectives & highlight variances to team leader.
Create and distribute statements and dunning notifications.
Identify cancellations or non-renewals.
Manage relationships with Claims, Profit Centers & O&S.
Ensure submission of Bordereaux to Profit Centers/O&S and Claims for processing.
Distribution and resolution of dunning & cancellations statement.
As required, produce ad-hoc reconciliations and summaries for senior management.
Maintain client/broker/profit center relationships and ensure that regular meetings are arranged to resolve any outstanding issues.
Reconcile customer accounts by contacting agents, brokers, reinsurers, attorneys, and insureds, as necessary.
Reduce over-90-day balances.
Run standardized reports.
May assist department with unapplied or misapplied cash.
Job Profile
Experience in accounting departments, mainly in insurance companies or related industry.
Knowledge of accounting (degree level or equivalent; an accounting qualification would be an advantage).
Fluent in English.
Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Good time management skills - ability to handle multiple priorities, organize work and meet deadlines.
Strong focus on attention to detail and the desire to deliver accuracy and quality.
Strong administrative and personal organizational skills.
Effective communication skills with all levels of the business, both internal and external.
Strong team player.
