What we are looking to hire: RateGain partners with travel companies of every size and type worldwide to achieve their commercial objectives, from Online Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Wholesalers, Meta Searches, Travel Management Companies, DMCs to GDS providers. As a partner of choice for global and regional travel companies, RateGain seeks an experienced Director focused on European markets to scale this essential unit of our business.
The ideal candidate will understand how European travel companies function and operate and will be familiar with the technology solutions adopted by these companies to achieve their commercial objectives. This role requires a trusted advisor, able to assist clients in navigating the complexities of the travel technology ecosystem and guiding them to the right decisions in distribution, business intelligence, marketing technologies, and beyond.
This is an individual contributor role; the candidate is expected to be self-started and self-driven, ready to innovate to find new values for our clients while keeping the company goals and the bigger picture in mind. This position can be based anywhere in Europe and requires the ability to travel within the EU without limitations.
Responsibilities:Develop and execute a detailed business and go-to-market plan, aligned to the commercial priorities for European travel companies and RateGain's solution portfolio.Establish, build, and maintain relationships with travel companies throughout Europe, positioning RateGain as a preferred solution provider and partner.Lead RateGain's engagement with travel companies, generate interest in our solutions, and drive adoption of our solution portfolio with new and existing customers (including commercial negotiation and contract closure).Manage the sales pipeline and monthly sales forecast, as well as maintain real-time activity tracking. Meet and exceed targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.Understand the value of RateGain products as well as competitive offerings and articulate RateGain benefits in a manner meaningful to European hotel chains.Work with internal teams including Customer Success and Product Management to identify new areas of collaboration with European travel companies, provide feedback to support the evolution of our solutions and the launch of capabilities, and ensure customer satisfaction.Required Skills and Qualifications:Minimum 5 years' experience in Travel Technology sales to European travel companies, ideally within the Pricing Intelligence or Distribution segments, with proven experience of exceeding goals and driving customer satisfaction.In-depth understanding of hotel distribution technology (including connection with OTAs, GDSs, content, etc.), rate intelligence solutions, and marketing technologies.Strong empathy/obsession for customers and passion for revenue and growth.Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building; analytical and process-oriented mindset.Experience negotiating commercial deals and contracts.Salesforce.com CRM experience is highly appreciated.Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and improvement.Excellent communication and presentation skills.
