Director of Sales & Marketing - Pre Opening - Hotel Candela MarbellaWith a planned opening in the summer of 2024, the Hotel Candela Marbella is excited to be recruiting for management team. The ideal candidate for this position has extensive experience in luxury brands in a Director of Sales and Marketing position and is fluent in Spanish and English. Ideally, the candidate has prior experience in leading a hotel opening or major renovation/conversion.This is what your day looks like:Primary point of contact on all sales and marketing issues for the General Manager, Owner, Group Sales Team and Area Commercial LeaderDeveloping sales goals and strategies in alignment with the overall business strategy and being responsible for all proactive and reactive (event sales) sales activities as well as for the reservation departmentDeveloping marketing and communication strategiesAnalyzing market and economic trends as well as competitors to continuously strengthen the own position in the marketPoint of contact for customers, participating in sales calls to acquire new business and/or close deals, and building long-term, value-based customer relationshipsDeveloping strong partnerships and collaborations with local organizations to further increase brand/product awareness, participating in customer events, regional and national trade showsBudget planning and controllingGoal setting and performance evaluation of direct team members, as well as coaching and development meetingsThis is what we need:An open and proactive mind-set, flexibility and courage to embrace change and to always challenge the status quo in order to optimize processesSolution- and result-oriented approachProfessional appearance and strong communication skills in English and FrenchLeadership skills to always get the best out of your team and to challenge and encourage each individual in the best possible wayCustomer-oriented approach, always focusing on the needs of the guest and the customerKnowledge of overall hotel revenue management concepts, processes and strategiesFinancial resource management, ability to analyze profit and loss (P&L) statements, develop operating budgets and revenue targets, forecast and plan capital expendituresSuccessfully completed studies with a focus on sales and marketing or comparable training, as well as at least 5-8 years of experience in sales and marketing with management responsibilityIf you would like to become part of the team and experience a successful hotel opening together, then click "Apply now".Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
