We're seeking a Development Operations Engineer to join our global TechOps Team, to be responsible for ensuring the integrity, reliability and maintenance of our internally developed software products from conception to release.
If you're ready to join a growing company and make an immediate impact, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities:As a DevOps Engineer, you will be tasked with assisting the Development team in understanding, deploying and maintaining infrastructure related to hosting the TransPerfect SaaS applications.
You will be responsible for diagnosing any configuration issues with these systems in coordination with the development teams.
You will be the primary point of contact for the infrastructure needs as you deal directly with development teams who have service requests and technical problems such as issues with their servers, networking, and automated deployments.Effectively provision, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of version control systems, build tools and continuous integration toolsThis position is responsible for developing, provisioning and testing application deployment automation and orchestration.Extensive experience of engineering and continuous integration and delivery CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins, Pipeline as code, Concourse.Working with application teams to build, maintain, and document through Confluence the Development, Testing, Staging, and Production environments.Strong understanding and practical working knowledge of Unix Shell Scripting, AWS, Java, Python, Jenkins, Git and Docker.Experience with seamless/automated build scripts used for release management across all environmentsUse expertise in AWS and Azure clouds to develop new and migrate existing toolingResponsible for ongoing maintenance and evaluation of our monitoring platformsPerform analysis, design, development, and configuration functions (includes defining technical requirements) with a high degree of accuracy and speed.Monitor and examine all application, performance, event, and system logs to assist in troubleshootingAid in planning our datacenters system expansion.Extensive experience working with Infrastructure as Code (AWS Cloud Formation Templates, Azure ARM templates).Proven experience with managing AWS RDS and Azure PaaS databases and services like Redis , Service Bus .Proven hands-on experience with two or more databases- SQL , PostgreSQL , MySQL , MongoDBExperience with Terraform or Cloud Formation YAML scripting.Proficient understanding of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Strong know-how of operating systems such as Windows & LinuxAbout you:As a DevOps Engineer you are a:Creative thinker – You are curious and unafraid to ask questionsHard worker – You are industrious and diligent in everything you doInnovator – You are willing to initiate changes and introduce new ideasYour experience includes:3+ years of relevant experience with different cloud technologies especially AWS or Microsoft Azure experienceWorking knowledge of both relational and non-relational databasesExperience with APM monitoring toolsHands on experience with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes like Jenkins.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are requiredMaintain key service level agreements (SLAs).Understanding of Networking Technologies like Load balancer, Firewall, VIP, DNS.Provide guidance and direction to regarding DevOps Processes and Technical/Pipeline Standards.Ideal candidates will be familiar with the following subjects/technology: Agile Methodology | PowerShell | Active Directory Domain Services | SQL Database backups, restores, and monitoring | Network Security | ELK Stack | Azure DevOps ServicesThis position offers:A significant role in a dynamic, well-functioning software development division with the world's largest provider of language services and technology solutionsAn opportunity to have real impact in product direction and developmentAdvantages of working in a team of subject matter experts that develop cutting-edge web applicationsSignificant room for growthGreat financial rewardsBy applying, I confirm I have read and accept TransPerfect's Privacy Policy: https://www.transperfect.com/about/data-privacy-recruiting
