About our client: Kenmei Technologies is a Spanish company based in Valencia founded by telecoms and software experts, focused on providing data intelligence with machine-based decisioning, automating network operations and customer assurance, to help operators deal with the incoming increase of network complexity.Position: Database AdministratorRole OverviewAs a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring that the databases supporting our Product operate efficiently, securely, and reliably. Additionally, you will ensure the integrity and privacy of the data.Main ResponsibilitiesMaintain and Administer Databases: You will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the Product's databases. This includes tasks such as performance review, configuration, installation, upgrades, backups, restorations, and monitoring of the databases.Design and Plan Database Structure: You will be responsible for designing and planning the database structures in collaboration with the web backend tech leads, to ensure information is stored efficiently and securely. This involves identifying database requirements, creating tables, views, stored procedures, statistics, partitioning policies, and indexing.Ensure Data Security and Privacy: You must ensure that databases are protected against unauthorized access, data loss, and corruption. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with data privacy requirements.Optimize Database Performance: You will be responsible for ensuring databases operate efficiently and quickly. This includes optimizing queries, indexing data, and configuring database parameters.Troubleshoot Issues: You will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues. This includes resolving data conflicts and recovering databases in the event of system failures.Databases under current scope: Postgres, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Explorer.Minimum RequirementsTechnical SkillsDatabase Management Systems (DBMS): Proficiency in major DBMS such as PostgreSQL and (Google BigQuery or Azure Data Explorer). Experience with distributed/multi-node databases will be highly valued.Database Design: Strong understanding of database design principles, including normalization, indexing, and data modelling.SQL: Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.Performance Tuning: Experience in performance tuning, statistics, and query optimization.Backup and Recovery: In-depth knowledge of database backup and recovery procedures.Security: Familiarity with database security practices and tools.Tools: Experience with database management tools (e.G. pgAdmin).Soft SkillsProblem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically.Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.#J-18808-Ljbffr
