Mission: Our objective is to provide data protection support to different products and services of the entity, which is in full international expansion, reporting to the Data Protection Officer. For this, it is necessary to have knowledge of data protection in (i) financial services and financing products: buy now pay later, credit cards, loans, etc. and (ii) in the implementation of the regulations in different geographies of the European Union.

The successful candidate should hold experience in a similar data protection role and have a proven track record of delivering results in a challenging environment. The individual will be capable of delivering results, with and through colleagues and peers, both cross-functionally and cross-jurisdictionally. The role will require working cross-functionally and cross-jurisdictionally daily, so cross-jurisdiction privacy knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities: Provide practical guidance and advice internally on Data Protection matters while working as part of the data privacy team under the guidance of Openbank's Data Protection Officer. Participate in all processes that deal with the processing of personal data and providing relevant consultations. Advise and support business functions on data protection issues arising day-to-day. Ensure compliance with international, national, state, and local privacy laws and regulations. Create and implement strategies to ensure compliance with data protection laws. Perform DPIAs, PIAs, and LI assessments and build/maintain the client's RoPA. Analyze risk associated with data processing operations and monitor compliance with GDPR and other personal data legal requirements. Maintain processes for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and acting on all requests/complaints concerning the organization's privacy policies and procedures. To be successful in the role you must have: Minimum of 10 years of relevant legal/compliance experience, including at a law firm or prior in-house experience. Degree in Law; master's degree in technology and/or data protection (desirable). Advanced English level (C1). It is desirable to know other languages such as: German, Dutch, or Portuguese. Certification as DPO, IAPP, or similar. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical, reading, comprehension, writing skills and strong attention to detail. What do we offer? Immediate incorporation to a dynamic and agile company with a growth and expansion project. Working in start-up mode with the support of Grupo Santander. Competitive remuneration and attractive benefits package. Possibility of growth within the company and the Group. Collaboration in international projects and possibility of contact with different countries. Excellent work environment, social clubs, and frequent events. Would you like to grow with us? Join our team! Openbank is an equal opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered as equal without paying attention to gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, age, political orientation, union membership nor disability status. We make recruiting decisions based on your experience and skills. We value your passion to discover, invent, simplify, and build. If you're not currently living in Madrid or Valencia and you are open to relocating, we would still love to consider your application. The personal data you provide as well as any data generated during the selection process are confidential and will be processed by Open Bank, S.A./ Open Digital Services, S.L. with registered office at Plaza de Santa Bárbara 2, 28004 (Madrid), for the sole purpose of managing your participation in the selection processes and, where appropriate, to formalise your recruitment. For further information about your rights and data protection, please read the ODS/Openbank Privacy Policy applicable to this type of data processing here.
