Company Description: We are looking for a passionate Payroll Tax Manager with strong experience managing tax obligations for a fast-growing multinational company. You will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring Arista's global payroll tax compliance and reporting obligations. This is a global role with responsibility spanning Arista's operations in 29 countries worldwide.
Job Description: You will be part of the HR department working closely with the Payroll team. The location is in EMEA, preferably Barcelona.
This role is responsible for developing processes that will ensure the capture and reporting of all payroll tax in accordance with the country regulations where Arista operates in an efficient and effective manner.
Qualifications:Tax Framework:Developing policies, controls, legislation changes, taxability matrices.Streamlining and documenting tax reporting processes.Developing and maintaining a strong control environment and proactively identifying process and control areas for improvements.Ensuring appropriate documentation exists to validate and support payroll taxes paid.Working with the payroll team and payroll partners to ensure tax regimes are accurately set up in the payroll system.Understanding equity sale mechanisms and display on the payslip.Proactively auditing and validating payroll year-end tax filings and reports.Liaising with external advisors and obtaining advice where necessary.Managing any payroll tax reporting or filings which are outside the responsibility of the 3rd party provider or external advisors.Being able to support HR/Payroll in explaining gross to net calculations to employees when needed.Working with Finance to ensure that payroll taxes are budgeted for on all relevant staff costs.Coordinating with internal Finance and Treasury teams where necessary to ensure payroll taxes are paid as and when required.Internal Audits & External Audits (Tax Authorities):Coordinating payroll tax audits with external advisers, including gathering payroll data where necessary.Ensuring that the external payroll statutory parties have access to the necessary information to provide accurate tax filings and reporting.Consolidating and reporting requested payroll tax data to internal parties ad hoc.Compensation & Benefits - Reward - Global Mobility:Working with HR to ensure tax planning, advisory, and forecast on all benefits are identified, reported, and appropriate payroll taxes accounted for, as well as for the Equity plan.Ensure employment tax advisory on all hires and severances.Ensure pensions are compliant.Contractor compliance (particularly UK IR35).Identify mobility tax impacts, advice, and forecast potential costs.Additional Information: All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
