Open position: Innovation consultant with specific focus on innovating with and in the Creative Industries

Within those focus areas, we deliver a broad portfolio of consulting services spanning all stages of the innovation cycle, from mobilizing resources to develop (collaborative) R&D activities, to supporting the widespread adoption of innovative solutions and maximizing their impact.
The position: We are currently offering a position as an innovation consultant with a focus on Creative Industries.
This sector is both undergoing deep innovation and re-invention, while also increasingly being leveraged to catalyze change and new ideas in interaction with other sectors of the economy and society.
You will be working at our Barcelona headquarters with fellow team members taking responsibility for the execution and management of consultancy assignments.
You will be working in 2-3 small teams for several clients in parallel.
Given the substantial demand for our services in this area in North-West Europe (especially The Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany) the position will involve regular travel to and short-term stays in these countries.
The main tasks you will work on are related to the services we deliver, potentially including:
Conceptualization and implementation of large scale innovation and transition initiatives (projects, networks, programs), often supported under EC innovation programmes (typically Horizon Europe and Interreg)Assessment of economic, environmental and societal impact of innovative pilots, defining future data collection and analysisBusiness modeling and definition of exploitation strategies to support the implementation of new solutions and services.We offer a compensation level that is fully competitive which includes a fixed and a variable component.

Background and profile: A Master's degree in Industrial Design or similar dedicated postgraduate education on a relevant topic (Creative business, Design Engineering, CCSI policy studies).
We look for profiles reflecting specific interests in the mix between business and technology, ideally with additional education in business and innovation management.Languages: truly fluent English, both written and oral, is essential (almost all of our assignments are performed in English).
Additionally, for this specific position, we highly value fluency in some client's native languages such as Dutch or German.Writing skills: good writing skills are essential; we need you to enjoy and be good at creating convincing argumentations, and easily translating complex technical concepts into clear and compelling business language.Soft skills: we expect a great deal of autonomy and pro-activity, being able to communicate professionally with partners and clients, managing and leading discussions and public presentations.Relevant experience and additional expertise: we require 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in the domain of Creative Industries innovation; it will be a strong plus for strategy consultancy or other innovation positions.Please notice that your activities will include occasional meetings at different client locations around Europe.
Therefore, you should be fully available to travel once or twice a month for a couple of days.
