Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented, self-directed marketer with events and project management experience, to develop and grow the cloud computing businesses in the Iberian region. This is a unique opportunity to join our Iberia Field Marketing team and play a key role in an exciting technology business.
As a Marketing Program Manager, you will be responsible for driving the planning process, execution, and event strategy of our customer facing Experience area in the AWS Madrid Office, to make cloud technology more tangible and engage with customers in a new and more interactive way. To be successful in this role you will need experience in project management, time management, and problem-solving skills, next to experience managing complex projects across multiple stakeholders. You should feel comfortable with ambiguity, and with planning and executing on various stages of marketing campaigns and programs, such as digital marketing campaigns, physical event operations, lead generation programs, and events.
You will manage the Experience program and work to improve the customer experience while aligning with the local business teams. You will work operationally to develop, execute and measure highly impactful customer-focused AWS hosted and partner events and campaigns - end-to-end, including concept, content, digital setup, demand generation, budgeting and sponsoring, design, staffing, onsite support, execution as well as follow up and reporting. This role includes interaction with customers, internal stakeholders, and AWS partners. The role is based in Madrid.
Key job responsibilitiesServe as the Iberia Experience program manager leading the operational planning processes and execution of physical program and center events.Manage the Experience virtual platform including agency relationships, website improvements, and event management.Create comprehensive event project plans, conduct regular checkpoints with deliverable owners, escalate risks and challenges appropriately and ensure events are delivered on time and on budget.Partner with the EMEA Experience program team to define and implement tools and content.Build processes for efficiency, repeatability and scalability of events activities.Think big to deliver new ideas and creative approaches to constantly improve the customer experience of the experience center.Manage budgets and cost-saving opportunities related to physical space and events.Serve as the Iberia Experience Area centre of excellence owner defining best practices, building scalable processes templates, building reports, working with agencies & vendors etc.Work with cross-functional teams to achieve and maximize results including demand generation and follow up.Evaluate, measure and report on strategic effectiveness and ROI for overall event program efforts.Excellent time management, resource management and planning skills.Experience working in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional organization.Experience in marketing Project management and event planning/execution.Experience working in rapid growth companies and industries.Knowledge about cloud computing market and technologies.Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a relevant field of study.Passionate about process and an innate attention to detail.Fluency in Spanish. Portuguese a plus.
