CTES_CT_Sales Engineer - Full Time - Madrid, Spain

The primary objective of the role is to generate profitable sales of Turnaround Services (TAS) and Tower Field Services (TFS) to current and prospective clients in Spain and Portugal (the Territory), and to develop opportunities for combined TAS and TFS sales.
Your main tasks and responsibilities: Identify and generate sales opportunities within prescribed territory for Turnaround Services and Tower Field Services to grow sales pipeline. Focus on selling replacements of Sulzer existing installed base and replacements of competitor installed base for all Mass Transfer Components. Focus on selling Tower Field Services for customer turnaround events and projects, including installation and supervision services. Develop opportunities for collaboration between TAS and TFS by leveraging Sulzer's market position as an equipment and services provider to strengthen Sulzer's value proposition. Seek opportunities to increase Sulzer's scope of supply by providing additional equipment sales and services (Hardware Lockers, Inspections, AWO, etc.). Regular visits to current and prospective customers in the prescribed territory to understand needs and turnaround plans, and present Sulzer TAS / TFS capabilities. Develop relationships with turnaround and maintenance personnel at key customers, so that Sulzer is considered for any planned and unplanned maintenance work. Proactively track major plant turnaround and shutdown events and use this information to plan customer visits, calls, etc. accordingly. Make use of company tools (market data, etc.) to help with this where possible. Develop leads and sales opportunities from prospect to firm enquiry and tender. Retrieve customer enquiry package and distribute to relevant internal sales team. Proactively respond to new sales enquiries for TAS and TFS, assess enquiry particulars to establish potential and priorities. Lead the tendering process by coordinating internal sales teams and proposals engineers, setting the overall sales strategy and pricing levels, reviewing proposals to ensure the client's main needs are met. Co-ordinate the follow up of tenders, liaise with other department personnel directly as appropriate. Lead in client tender clarification meetings and commercial meetings including negotiation on commercial terms and pricing. Prepare and present accurate sales visit reports and follow up actions, with clear delegation of tasks where required. Execute annual business goals as agreed during appraisal and in compliance with company internal regulations especially code of conduct. Keep CRM opportunity records accurate and up to date. Stay up to date and support project management in case of challenges in the order execution with customer for strategic projects. Participate in and contribute to departmental monthly sales meetings. To succeed in this role, you will need: Work experience: > 4 years. Professional sales experience in a similar business environment. Experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochem, and Energy sectors. Ideally a Mechanical Engineering Qualification or suitable experience. Specific knowledge of the Field Service market in the Territory. Customer relationships. Strategic commercial insight. Interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in English.
