We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid.
Responsibilities:
Your role as Associate Director, Financial Discovery Advisor will involve:
Support students in designing their career target, in accordance with their professional strengths and aspirations, balancing their expectations with market appetite in their target region and industry.
Support students to identify their interests on the main pillars in finance (Investment Banking, Global Markets, Asset/Wealth Management, Consulting M&A, etc).
Assess, according to students' background and interest, the feasibility for students to get into their desired finance sector and build a strategy accordingly, considering several plans (i.e., Plan A, B, C, etc).
Support students in individual advising sessions and in groups in the classroom.
Guide students in our Career Advising methodology: creating their career target materials (list of target companies and contacts), gathering real-time market information (networking with active professionals and leveraging IE ecosystem and alumni).
Support students in creating an actionable and measurable job search strategy, agreeing on timelines, milestones, and progress.
Advise/support students to build their personal brand into their application packages (CV, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, and interactions).
Coach students for interviews providing guidance on research about the company/role and practice sessions (mock interviews), at different times in their journey.
Contribute to defining Career Advising methodology and student journey: creation of materials, self-assessment exercises, benchmark market.
Maintain knowledge of recruitment practices, industry trends, recruitment and networking events, interview requirements, and unique employer information through own efforts and collaboration with the Employer Partnership team.
Coordinate with Academic Programs and other key stakeholders in the Business School ecosystem, faculty research, alumni base, student clubs, and student needs to remain vital and credible for advising purposes.
The position will report to the Head/Program Head with coordination lines to the Advising/Education Director.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
Master's Degree highly valued.
Previous experience in Finance will be a strong plus.
Required experience as a coach, career advisor, head-hunter, or recruiter. Additional experience facilitating, teaching, learning, and development is ideal.
Strong coaching skills, ideally with specific training.
Job Market Knowledge: jobs in demand, future of work, international job market.
Interpersonal, cross-cultural communication skills.
