Following an exciting period of continuous growth and development of projects in ERM Spain, we are seeking a Senior Consultant with expertise in the area of Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change.
Based in one of our offices in Spain (Madrid or Barcelona), you will focus on projects, assignments, and proposal tasks under the supervision of your team leader, contributing to the achievement of the team and group targets of quality project delivery, client satisfaction, productivity, and revenues.
Your main responsibilities and tasks will be: Climate strategy project development and implementation, including low carbon economy transitions, GHG emissions reduction actions and plans, climate and net zero strategies, Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTi), climate-related financial risks and opportunity assessment (e.g. in line with TCFD), scenario analysis, mitigation and adaptation strategies, carbon credit projects, natural climate solutions, etc.
Development of corporate sustainability programs such as sustainability strategy, human rights due diligence process, CSR strategy, sustainable supply chain management, circular economy program, sustainable finance, etc.
Support in response to sustainability indices, such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), S&P Corporate Sustainability Assessment (S&P CSA), Thailand Sustainability Investment (THSI), CDP, etc.
Development of corporate sustainability reports in English, including writing, editing, and proofreading content.
Support to assess business programs for social needs by measuring and valuing business broader societal impacts using concepts such as Social/Environmental Return on Investment, Natural Capital Protocol, Creating Shared Value, etc.
About you: We are looking for people passionate about sustainability, client-oriented, and impact-focused. You will bring:
Master's degree in environmental engineering, industrial engineering, environmental science, or environmental discipline such as environmental management, sustainability, or climate change.
Four to six years of experience in environmental management and sustainability-related services with deep knowledge of environmental regulations.
Experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (strategy and reporting).
Knowledge in double materiality assessment, GHG, Carbon accounting, and/or CRSD requirements.
Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.
Fluency in Spanish and English languages is necessary. Other languages (French or Italian) are a plus.
