About the role
As Chief Sales Officer (CSO), it will be your responsibility to lead and scale our commercial strategy, driving growth, partnerships, and merchant acquisition. The CSO will be responsible for developing a robust business development roadmap, overseeing sales initiatives, and establishing strategic partnerships within the fintech ecosystem. This leadership role requires a dynamic and experienced executive with a proven track record in scaling businesses, particularly in the payments, fintech, or financial services sectors.
Reporting directly to the COO, the CSO will play a critical role in shaping and executing our Commercial strategy.
Your responsibilities Strategy & Growth Develop and execute PayRetailers' commercial strategy, aligning it with business objectives to drive sales growth.Identify new market opportunities, merchant segments, and innovative business models to accelerate growth.Forge strategic alliances with key players in the fintech and broader financial services ecosystem, including banks, regulators, and technology providers.Lead negotiations and close major deals that enhance product offerings and market position.Sales Leadership Lead the sales team to achieve aggressive growth targets, focusing on merchant acquisition, retention, and expansion.Oversee go-to-market strategies for new products and services, ensuring alignment with merchant needs and market trends.Collaborate with the product team to enhance the value proposition, ensuring solutions meet merchant demand and maintain a competitive edge.Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and results.Work closely with the executive leadership team to align sales goals with broader corporate objectives.Work closely with the People team to ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and team fulfillment.About you 15+ years of senior leadership experience in Sales roles, fintech or financial servicesBachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree is highly desirableExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including the C-suite.Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, financial, and commercial acumen.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish (Portuguese is a nice to have).Existing solid portfolio of clients in the payments industryDeep understanding of the fintech ecosystem, including digital payments, payment gateway solutions or other financial technologies.Strong negotiation and deal-making skills with a track record of closing high-impact partnerships.What do we offer?
