A very important research and development institution has decided to create a new independent commercial company to sell its own products, currently marketed by third parties worldwide, and to launch new product lines already developed. More than 90% of the turnover is generated in foreign markets.
Our client is looking for a COO with a business-oriented mindset and experience in the market of research products, especially preclinical development, to lead the sales & marketing and production operations. This position is located in Barcelona.
Key Responsibilities:
P&L responsibility.
Leading a company that already has a team of 15 people and a present turnover of about 3 million.
Sales: Preparation of annual budget, commercial terms and strategy in each country.
Business: Look for new markets, countries and launch new products.
Managing the sales force and customer service.
Manufacturing: Ensure that production meets the high level of service required in this market.
With the support of our customer's finance department, control supplier costs and performance.
Work on continuous improvement of the company in all areas, with special focus on having a high-performance team to improve the company's financial results.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
University degree in Life Sciences.
MBA or similar degree.
Proven experience leading technical and commercial teams in the research market.
Fluency in English and Spanish required.
