CHINT is looking for a Category Manager for Transport and Distribution Equipment to join our team in Operation and Maintenance.
This critical role will focus on optimizing procurement processes, crafting effective negotiation strategies, and managing risks associated with medium-high voltage equipment.
As a Category Specialist, you will oversee supplier evaluation and performance optimization, conduct market research, and ensure that procurement activities align with internal regulations and policies.
This role is ideal for a strategic leader with deep industry expertise and a commitment to developing a robust, cost-effective, and high-quality supply chain at a global level.
Purpose: Assist category manager in establishing and optimizing procurement processes negotiation strategies, and reducing various business risks in Medium-High Voltage equipment, operation & maintenance.
Under the requirements of the company's relevant procedures, assist the category manager to carry out supplier performance appraisal, supplier performance optimization, supplier-related audit, quality problem solving and other related tasks.
Assist in the integration of CHINT's global subsidiaries and branches, source globally, and continuously develop new suppliers for the purpose of improving quality, reducing costs, building CHINT's integrated supply chain.
Responsabilities: Responsible for tasks from stakeholders of HQ office, regional HQ & regional subsidiaries to conduct inquiry and negotiation on products before bidding, and assist these departments in pre-bid budget calculation, and also in stage execution; As a category specialist, have an in-depth understanding of the industry status of the Medium-High Voltage primary equipment and operation & maintenance (O&M) category, and have a comprehensive and in-depth understanding and grasp of the upstream and downstream supply of the category; Responsible for category market research work, deeply understand the supply market dynamics, conduct risk assessment in advance and take appropriate countermeasures; Responsible for the development of category supplier for Medium-High Voltages, cost, delivery, performance and full life cycle management of suppliers; Responsible for solving supplier problems of this category, including but not limited to: quality, delivery, cost, service; Be responsible for the entire process an inquiry and quotation of primary/secondary Medium-High Voltage Transport & Distribution equipment, installation & commissioning and transformer oil procurement in EEA region, approve the inquiry and quotation documents, contract signing, payment and pricing benchmark for materials and services.
Be responsible for and ensure that the procurement actions taken comply with relevant policies, regulations and ethics; Be responsible for controlling & management of budget; Complete the KPI and tasks set by the department and management.
Requirements: Educational Background: Dregree.
Supply chain management, Electrical and Mechanical related majors Professional qualification: Supply Chain or Procurement Management Experience: 3 years and above Knowledge & skills: Supply Chain management, purchasing, and financial knowledge Competencies: Familiar with ISO9001; Knowledge in IATF16949 is preferred; proficient in IT skills like MS Office; should have good English communication skills; communication and coordination skills, Fluent in English Job characteristics: Environment: Indoor, no contact to toxic substances Work time: Flexible working hours, travelling 30%
