Currently in a phase of expansion, our clientis actively seeking a skilled Cast Shop Manager to spearhead theiroperations.
As the Cast Shop Manager, you will beresponsible for overseeing the cast shop operations, ensuring the efficient andeffective production of cast components for our client´s forging and castingprocesses. You will lead a team of technicians, manage resources, and ensurethe highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity are met.
Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day operations of the castshop, including casting, melting, and related processes.
- Develop and implement standard operatingprocedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and efficient production.
- Plan and schedule cast shop activities tomeet production targets and customer requirement.
-Monitor and control casting parameters, such as temperature, alloy composition,and mold design, to ensure compliance with customer specifications and qualitystandards.
- Optimize the use of resources, includingmanpower, furnaces, and materials, to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and calibrationof equipment, such as furnaces, ladles, and molds, to ensure optimalperformance.
- Lead and motivate a team of technicians,providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performanceand productivity.
- Collaborate with other departments, such asEngineering, Quality Assurance, and Production, to ensure seamless integrationof cast shop operations with upstream and downstream processes.
- Monitor and analyze key performanceindicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement correctiveactions as necessary.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocolsand regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in metallurgicalengineering, materials science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similarrole within the metal casting or forging industry.
- Strong knowledge of cast shop operations andcasting techniques.
- Familiarity with various casting methods suchas sand casting, investment casting, and die casting.
- Excellent leadership, managerial,problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonalabilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and toolsfor data analysis and reporting.
