C&S Offer Senior Manager - Portfolio Strategy and C&S Transformation (Temporary role) Madrid, Community of Madrid, ES
WHAT YOU'LL DO As the temporary C&S Transformation Offer Senior Manager, your role will be primarily to drive two themes core to the topic: Cost of Inaction, and Business Value quantification. A secondary role will be to act as a COO to the C&S Transformation Leadership Team (see details below). You will be working on those three elements with Sylvain Santamarta, C&S Transformation Topic Leader.
Further develop a compelling quantified value creation story for Climate & Sustainability:
Building on the three value creation pillars: decarbonization & cost savings, green growth acceleration, risk reduction.
Identify opportunities to quantify value creation from case work or external research.
Drive development of the Cost of inaction theme, bringing consistency and a commercial focus:
Coordinate ongoing efforts: macro and country level perspective from an innovation fund team, with corporate perspective from WEF team, ensuring consistency on the content.
Elevate key messages to C&S LT and bring them to key forums internally.
Coordinate marketing and SATT activities.
Assess commercial potential for an offer on cost of inaction, and start building it if the business case is compelling.
Act as a COO to the C&S Transformation Leadership team, composed of C&S x FPA nodes (MSP, TDA, POP, GA, R&C) and offer leads for Climate Risk Adaptation & Resilience, and Center for Sustainability Policy and Regulation:
Drive planning process: collecting needs from the teams, prioritize budget ask and allocation.
Shape agenda and facilitate C&S Transformation Quarterly Business Reviews.
Challenge and fine tune individual investments requests to maximize return on investment and ensure alignment with Topic and PA Priorities.

YOU'RE GOOD AT Successful candidates will feel comfortable operating in a "start-up mode" within BCG and with multiple players, have strong project management skills, the aptitude to see and hold the big picture, yet also manage the details. Comfort with ambiguity, evolving priorities and eagerness to lean in to support team/projects when needed, are also pre-requisites.
Lead a high-performing team, motivating them to deliver highest standards, providing direction, mentoring and coaching.
Leading large and complex agendas, align senior leadership, prioritizing activities and working with others to get things done (in a distributed organization).
Manage and execute projects efficiently; provide hands-on support to multiple activities, often requiring strong consulting skills (slides writing, effective communication, some analytics, …).
Collaborate and communicate with various teams and individuals, with different level of seniority in different geographies and with different background; be able to communicate with senior leaders and be a connection point for the community.
Working independently to identify need for, scope, gain endorsement and drive implementation of impactful initiatives with only broad direction.
Managing ambiguity with a high level of comfort, able to work in a context where ownership, accountability, and way forward maybe unclear.
Operating effectively in a matrix organization with the ability to prioritize and make decisions.
Avid networker being able to interlink different parts of the BCG universe.
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) 10-12+ years of relevant experience.
Master's degree preferred.
Highly knowledgeable and analytic.
Previous experience in consulting is a plus.
Demonstrates in depth topic/function expertise.
Ability to lead more complex, broader sub functional teams or projects fully independently and provide direction to others.
Ability to resolve complex issues and non-defined problems autonomously, with full business acumen.
Strong interpersonal skills, credibility.
Ability to influence senior members of the PA and beyond.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
YOU'LL WORK WITH Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG's industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business through a number of roles, including content development, process management, marketing, meeting and conference management, and internal/external communications.
