Our BPAs drive performance management and its related financial planning cycles, risks and opportunities evaluations, acting as critical business partners to the global project teams for each subsection of the portfolio.We are building several of our GDD teams and have open positions for talented, trusted Business Partners, who work proactively in cross-divisional, cross-functional collaborative teams.
You'll become efficient and agile by implementing best tools and optimal processes while being supported by friendly, open colleagues.As Global/Regional Finance Business Partner (BPA) you'll be responsible for activities within a country, (typically large revenue OR medium revenue) or Business Unit, a region or globally (depending on the division size), providing insightful and value-added analysis and decision support to the business leadership.Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Proactively partner with internal customer groups to prepare and challenge short-term plans (Budgets, Latest Outlooks (LOs) and Latest Forecasts (LFs)) for expenses and headcount, as well as identify and communicate financial Risks and Opportunities, cost-savings and productivity initiatives associated with those plans.Support the month-end closing process by reviewing and analyzing actual costs, expense provisions and headcount reports, and taking the necessary corrective actions or adjustments before local closing.
Ensure that headcount and costs are reported according to global guidance.Liaise with management, trial managers and support functions to optimize trial resource allocation and lifetime budgets: TCFs financial planning, challenging and investigating actual spend and ensuring proper follow-up on corrective actions.Responsible for refund process with HQ and balance sheet account reconciliation.Support GDD in projects or special tasks assigned, such as training, cross-country reviews, clinical trials consultancy, RD related tax topics, etc.Report the Budget and LOs in corporate tools and systems within local and global timelines.Ensure compliance of GDD financial processes to NFCM and control risks (e.g., Tax).Drive change and innovation in day-to-day processes by providing streamlined and automated solutions, capitalizing on today's technologies (e.g., ML).Commitment to Diversity InclusionNovartis is committed to building an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams representative of the patients and communities we serve.Minimum requirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree or post graduate degree in Finance or AccountingLanguages: Fluent written spoken EnglishExperience:5 years+ of experience in Financial Planning Analysis or related, preferably in Development or other functional controlling.Strong financial controlling skill set, functional know-how and excellent analytical skills.Demonstrate leadership skills in driving processes across teams and ability to influence others as well as a strong sense of urgency in solving issues.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact within a remote, matrix organization.Systems Skills: AP, BPC, Qliksense, PowerPoint, Excel, other financial reporting tools.Desirable:Spanish language, written and spoken.Knowledge of AI and ML is a plus.You'll receive:Competitive salary, annual bonus, pension scheme, health insurance, flexible working arrangements, subsidized dining facilities, employee recognition scheme.Why consider Novartis?769 million.
