We are looking for an experienced Buying professional who has lead a team and driven the overall Buying strategy within the fashion, accessories, jewellery and/or gifting industry.You will use your exceptional commercial awareness and passion for our product to define and drive the buying plan and budget. You use your experience of category and supplier development to define successful product ranges whilst managing and developing a Buying team, ensuring goals and deadlines are being met. You will work with wider teams such as our internal Product Design team to ensure product compliance through effective sample management in order to deliver high quality product to our valued customers.The role is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTEReviewing and improving your supplier base, ensuring you continually work with your suppliers to improve quality, design execution and deliveryWorking with key departments to deliver seasonal KPI's across our brands and retail divisions, including managing the critical path and supplier development against KPIs and business objectivesSupporting Senior Management to formulate and set the buying pla, aligning to the agreed budget for all categories by brand; creating final options and leading range meetingsTaking accountability for delivering the product development buy plan, working with the Merchandising team to ensure all risks and opportunities have been capturedPreparing and presenting in seasonally, monthly and weekly department product, sales and trade meetingsReviewing sales, highlighting any reactions to the team and making recommendations to improve performanceDriving the company's design compliance and quality, managing the buying team to execute this, including approving or rejecting samplesResearching and presenting market and customer trends, whilst identify opportunities and making recommendations for new products and categoriesDeveloping strong cross-functional relationships with department managers, working especially closely with the Product Design team and the Merchandising teamCoaching, leading and developing a Buying team ensuring goals and deadlines are being metTHE TALENT YOU'LL BRINGPrevious experience as a Senior Buyer and or Buying Manager within a similar industry, with excellent team management and mentoring experienceA self-starter who competently manages risk and applies strong commercial acumenHighly analytical, an expert in Excel and Power BIA strong understanding of all laws and regulations relating to procurement, contracts and product with ability to put into practiceA passion and understanding of working in the fashion industryExcellent organisation and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes in priorities and manage deadlinesPERFECTLY PACKAGEDA competitive salary DOE25 days holiday rising to 27 with length of service, plus bank holidayA broad benefits package including our staff favourite – a very generous staff discount across both our brands.
