Luxe Talent, an International Recruitment and Training Consultancy specialized in Fashion, Luxury, Retail, and FMCG, is looking for a Buying Manager to expand the product range of a fast-growing e-commerce platform specializing in high-quality piercing jewelry based in Malta or working remotely.About the RoleYou're a strategic thinker who excels at building systems and relationships. While expertise in piercing jewelry isn't necessary, you'll quickly grow into the role. You bring fresh ideas, agility, and a proactive mindset to the table, along with the ability to lead your team and maintain strong supplier relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain a diverse, reliable supplier network across regionsSource new products from existing suppliersCreate and enforce supplier agreements (terms, conditions, etc.)Manage inventory to meet customer demand, minimize excess stock, and handle rush ordersEnsure timely delivery from suppliersOversee replenishment purchasing by the Buying Assistant and mentor themCollaborate on product innovation with the CPO and Product teamEnsure accuracy in procurement documents (invoices, packing lists, etc.)Continuously analyze cost structures and seek ways to reduce expensesMonitor competitors and trends to keep product offerings competitiveAlign product launches with marketing and sales strategiesUpdate the Distribution Hub on incoming shipmentsFoster a collaborative environment where all stakeholders feel valuedMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience in procurement or buying rolesStrategic thinker, detail-oriented, and proactiveStrong relationship-building and communication skillsAmbitious, driven, and ready to grow with the companyExperience in e-commerce or fashion accessories (jewelry experience is a plus but not required)Familiarity with inventory optimization tools and techniquesStrong negotiation skills to maintain favorable terms with suppliersAbility to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and work on multiple projects simultaneouslyProblem-solving mindset, especially in managing stock levels and product sourcing challengesWilling to travel; a 3-6 month onboarding period with frequent travel to Malta and the Distribution Hub in Germany is required.
