We have an exciting opportunity for an Underwriter to join our Property team in Madrid.
The Underwriter will be responsible for:
Developing and expanding new business opportunities through production & marketing calls with brokers and clients.Marketing to distribution channels.Prequalifying new business.Utilizing underwriting acumen to select sound opportunities within company guidelines to maintain profitability.We are seeking an individual preferably with a background in underwriting General Property business, who strives for excellence in every area from analyzing risks to delivering customer and broker service.
The candidate should be comfortable working closely with the Claims team and Risk Control engineers from across the broader team.
Good data and file management skills are required, along with necessary character, relationship building, and negotiating skills to help lead and further build a profitable book of business.
The successful candidate will focus on providing a positive customer experience while maintaining sound underwriting discipline.
