Renowned as a leader in the automotive industrial sector within its country, this company serves as a key provider of Electric Vehicle (EV) solutions to international Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Its product portfolio encompasses a diverse range of EV and Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) on-board systems, including DC/DC converters and On-Board Chargers (OBC).
Additionally, the company specializes in Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) solutions, particularly high-power solutions tailored for hydrogen-based mobility.
The work is based in Barcelona, and we offer the flexibility of remote work, albeit with a requirement for occasional travel as per business needs.
Responsibilities As the Business Development Owner, you will be entrusted with a spectrum of key responsibilities crucial for creating business opportunities and driving growth.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing and implementing comprehensive business development strategies aligned with organizational objectives and market dynamics.
Leading negotiations and contract discussions with prospective clients and partners to secure new business opportunities.
Identifying and cultivating strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance market presence and drive revenue growth.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including OEMs, suppliers, industry associations, and government bodies.
Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and finance, to drive coordinated business development efforts.
Monitoring and evaluating the performance of business development initiatives, and adapting strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Representing the organization at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote brand visibility and networking opportunities.
Profile The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and attributes: A degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
Proven track record of success in business development, preferably within the automotive, mobility, or technology sector.
Strong understanding of the automotive industry, particularly in the realm of Electric Vehicle (EV) technologies and solutions.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze complex market dynamics and identify growth opportunities.
Entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Sensitivity to sustainability topics and a deep conviction as a supporter of the paradigm shift in mobility enabled by new energy vehicle technologies.
Fluency in English; additional languages (German/French/Italian) would be advantageous.
Willingness to travel as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
