Chemo produces its own active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) as well as finished pharmaceutical products (FDF) covering the main therapeutic groups (Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Central Nervous System, Anti-infectives, Respiratory, Women's Health, Endocrinology, Dermatology and Urology).
Global Responsibility Identify, research, evaluate and pursue mainly in-licensing business development opportunities that will contribute to the organization´s short and long-term business goals.
Specific Responsibilities Identify and evaluate innovative drug development opportunities from pre-clinical through commercial stage.
Through internal and external networking, attending scientific sessions, monitoring of pipelines, news, and VCs, and industry leaders, identify partnership or acquisition opportunities.
Evaluate potential targets, managing the cross functional process.
This will include relevant team members in R&D, contract manufacturing, internal manufacturing, IP, and legal.
Prepare presentation and marketing materials for professional partnering meetings, seminars, and conferences for out-licensing.
Seek licensing of products or technologies to increase the portfolio.
Manage NPV analysis on each product pipeline candidate.
Structure in-licensing and co-development deals.
Negotiate deals.
Accountabilities New products identified and approved by the Board in the Portfolio Committee.
Co-developments signed with external companies.
Activities related to the follow-up and support of the development or commercial activity in new products.
New technologies and new products brought to the Company.
Requirements and personal skills Education: University Degree (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Medicine and / or Biology), PhD is a plus.
Languages: Fluent Spanish and English are mandatory; knowledge of other languages will be an asset.
Experience (years/area): +3-5 years of experience in a in-licensing Business Development position in an international environment.
Specific Knowledge: proven experience in deal making, both in early stage and late stage deals is a must.
Deal sheet is mandatory Travels: Willingness to travel as much as needed
