Business Development Manager

The Role
Reporting to:

- Managing Director
- CEO

Responsibilities and Duties
The Business Development Manager (BDM):

- Develops and manages strategic relationships with Group Stakeholders i.e. new and existing insurance intermediaries, affinity groups and relevant entities and institutions across Spain and Portugal (hereon: Iberia)
- Oversees and executes the business plan agreed with the MD and the CEO
- Travels extensively to meet and visit the Group Stakeholders, to attend events and trade fairs
- Acts as liaison officer and facilitator between the Group Stakeholders and work colleagues, promoting a timely and professional level of service

Knowledge and Experience

- 7+ years' experience and understanding of liability insurance / products / markets (Professional Indemnity, Healthcare Insurance, D&O etc.)
- BSc in law or economics
- Knowledge of the: practices and processes of the Lloyd's and Company market, legal principles governing insurances, DGSFP's regulatory framework governing insurance brokers
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint)
