Noatum Maritime is looking for an experienced Business Controller for our Finance team at the Group's Headquarters in Barcelona – Torre Auditori (Spain) with a focus on cost controlling, specifically in gross operating margin, who plays a crucial role in optimizing the profitability of a business group operating across multiple countries. This professional will be dedicated to managing and controlling operational costs to maximize the gross operating margin and contribute to the financial success of the business group. This position will directly report to the Head of Controlling Global Maritime, located in Barcelona.
This is an excellent opportunity for a person with a degree in Business Administration, Economics and/or similar, and with good analytical skills, team player, experience in a similar position in a Controlling department, and with a desire to develop in a very dynamic and international sector such as the maritime sector.

Main Functions Conduct detailed analysis of the revenues and gross operating margin across different countries and business units, identifying areas for improvement and propose strategies to optimize the margin.Have a full understanding of top line by segment (PxQ at Region, Country, and business unit level).Control operational costs to guarantee that they are in line with the conditions agreed with the vendors (in terms of pricing and service level).Monitor and report the productivity KPIs for the different business processes. Minimum Requirements Education: Degree or Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration or related studies.Minimum 6 years experience in a multinational Controlling department preferably with a focus on cost controlling, revenues and gross margin.Previous experience in Big Four is a plus.Advanced knowledge of Excel (to be tested).Fluent level of English (to be tested).Experience in IT systems implementation is a plus.Knowledge of reporting tools (Power BI, EPM).An analytical profile is essential, with the ability to work as part of a team and a clear orientation towards objectives.A person accustomed to working with demanding deadlines and quality of work execution.A person with flexible working hours to be able to meet the different time requirements of the regions (at certain times).Additional Competencies:Analytical focus and attention to detail.Effective communication skills to collaborate with international teams.Strategic thinking and the ability to propose innovative solutions.Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.
