An organisation is seeking a Business Controller Data Centres, who is the strategic business partner to divisional management. You co-create the Division strategy, set the financial course, and facilitate decision-making based on data and analysis. Your insights focus on results, KPIs, market trends, and risk management, all aligned with the organization's goals.
Strategy Development: Contribute to the formulation and support the execution of the Division's strategy, including preparing long-term plans (LTPs) and operational plans (OPs).Market Analysis: Assess the impact of economic and market developments on the project portfolio through market and trend analyses and proactively advise on the outcome.Risk Management: Translate the organisation's risk policy into a risk profile for the project portfolio and Division, ensuring informed risk-based decisions.Project Portfolio Management: Provide strategic advice in line with the Division's strategy, focusing on value creation, performance improvement, and risk management. Support tender and project selection with a critical eye.Performance Monitoring: Collaborate with divisional management to oversee business planning, analyze performance, and ensure follow-up on performance improvement plans.Tender Support: Act as part of acquisition teams, responsible for the financial aspects of business cases and involving project controllers early in the process.Financial Optimization: Maintain a continuous focus on cash flow and working capital optimization. Prepare budgets and forecasts in collaboration with stakeholders.Reporting: Deliver internal management reports, complete with business insights and recommendations, and present them to divisional leadership.Tax and Treasury Awareness: Provide guidance on tax and treasury risks, ensuring timely identification and efficient management.Data Analysis: Conduct research and analyses focused on sector and market trends, organizational performance, and investment evaluations to support decision-making.Compliance: Ensure adherence to the Integrated Risk Framework across all activities.The Team You will work within the international financial team, a group of 23 professionals distributed across six countries. The team consists of specialists in Group Control, Business Control, and the Financial Shared Services Center. You will report directly to the CFO of the group and collaborate closely with the project controllers in the various countries. You are part of the Data Centres Division leadership team, which consists of the Division Director, the Division People & Culture Manager, and yourself.
Job requirementsWho You Are You hold a degree in finance, economics, or business administration (bachelor's or master's).You have at least 5 years of experience as a business controller or in a similar strategic financial role, preferably in an international and project-based environment.You are experienced in risk management, strategic planning, and project portfolio analysis.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.Exceptional communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or Dutch is a plus.Comfortable working across multiple teams and managing complex processes.What We Offer A full-time position (40 hours per week) with a competitive salary.
