Your role and work environment:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Business Control Partner to join our Business Control Office Team of Operational Design, Control, Resilience and Facilities Center of Expertise (CoE) .
The Center of Excellence for Business Control, Resilience and Processes Management's purpose is to support Wholesale & Retail ING Bank Spain and Portugal units from the first line of defense (hereafter: 1 LoD) on control this environment both effectively and efficiently, based on applicable requirements derived from national and international laws and regulations as well as from ING Bank Policies. All this while designing digital and sustainable processes.
The role intended to be covered by this offer will be focused on non-financial risks derived from Compliance and Operational ambits excluding IT & Security related frameworks. Nevertheless, as ING is leading the digitalization of the banking industry, position will be influenced by how financial digital processes relate with NFRs. Work environment is deeply international in the day to day.
Your key responsibilities:
As a Business Control Partner you will:
Advocate, advise, support, coordinate, follow up the design, implementation and assurance of controls to meet regulation and policy requirements risk-based, by business owners;
Coordinate the definition and execution of Test Monitoring Plans for the key controls that are part of the regular processes; based on the Compliance Chart (managed and updated by Compliance Risk Management in 2 LoD). Test Plans include Test of Design (TOD) and Test of Operating Effectiveness (TOE), following the Non-Financial Risk Framework Monitoring & Quality Assurance Procedures;
Identify opportunities and follow up on actions to digitalize and/or optimize processes and tasks;
Prepare reports as deemed necessary;
Coordinate and agree with 1LoD business management and 2LoD as deemed necessary to meet the abovementioned activities.

Degree in law and/or business administration or similar;
Minimum 2 years of risks or audit background;
Analytical and data-driven mindset and practices knowledge;
Knowledge of European and Spanish Law on marketing, banking products, services and processes;
High level of English;
"What-if" and "Can-do" attitude, with ability to work with ING professionals with different backgrounds and expertise in an international environment; and
Influence and communication skills.
