What are we looking for? We are looking for a Branch Manager for our Barcelona office!
The person in this position will play a key role in the growth of the market position of CtrlChain's Spanish Branch. The person in this role has a solid background in business development and brings a strong network for rapid growth of our Spanish Branch. This person will also be responsible to manage the team in their day-to-day work and maintaining a very high level of customer satisfaction.
The Branch Manager will supervise the entire spectrum of the Spanish branch's daily sales and operations, encompassing transportation planning, scheduling, execution and commercial activities. This entails guaranteeing the seamless and effective execution of all transportation activities in order to meet customer expectations and delivery deadlines.
This person will also lead and oversee a diverse team of carrier managers and key account managers. This entails mentoring and empowering team members, cultivating a positive work atmosphere, and fostering professional development.
Main responsibilities of the role: Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations of our Spanish branch, including (own activities and impact on) sales, transportation planning, scheduling, and execution. Manage and provide leadership to a diverse team of carrier managers and key account managers. Bring in new logos and revenue streams from your well-known network. Grow business opportunities by active participation in acquisition and customer meetings. Proactively establish and maintain positive relationships with carriers and other stakeholders. Ensure strict adherence to transportation regulations and company policies. Monitor transportation performance metrics such as on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Collaborate closely with other departments and offices in the Netherlands and USA. Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and technological advancements in transportation. Requirements Who are you: In possession of the certificate issued by the transport authorities that accredit your professional competence for the transport. Completed bachelor's degree or logistics and transport education. Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics, with at least 2/3 years in a leadership role. Proven and solid network of logistic customers. Strong knowledge of transportation operations, regulations, and industry best practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Experience in managing cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills. Attitude for continuous improvement and driving operational excellence.
