As a member of the BESS Advisory team, you are responsible, as a key contributor, for the execution of Independent Engineering assessments, supporting technology review and use case modelling for BESS at various stages of development and for different transaction types.
This position will work under the direction of the Solar and Storage Advisory Team, having responsibility for the completion of high-quality independent engineering work.
The position requires a mature candidate with strong data analytics capabilities and effective communication skills. Possibility to expand into further areas in the solar and storage advisory team is possible.
Key Responsibilities: Support the Storage Advisory team on the execution of feasibility studies and energy modelling for different use cases on storage projects. Work with internal resources, associate project managers, project managers, as well as sub-consultants. Ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget. Support on the development of new procedures and processes in the team. Timely and efficient completion of high-quality reports. Minimum Requirements: At least 3 years of experience working in the storage industry with experience on key technologies and energy modelling for different use cases. Knowledge of different battery technologies, markets, revenue mechanisms, use cases, and knowledge of Homer family products. Good understanding of different battery technology with experience in the review of main related equipment (PCS, BMS, battery cells, etc.) as well as other main equipment in the BOS of a BESS Project. Good understanding of typical KPIs for solar PV and storage, and a high-level understanding of energy modelling for solar PV projects. At least a bachelor's-level education and core competence in a relevant field, e.g., mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, or environmental engineering. Master's degree in Renewable Energy related aspects. Strong written and communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment and successfully manage multiple complicated projects.
