This role sits in a diverse team reporting to the Global Privacy Strategist within HP's Trust and Privacy Office (TPO) under the Legal organization and has a direct impact on driving compliant and trustworthy HP solutions. We lead the company's strategies, policies, and assurance for trusted and compliant digital experiences and personal data use. We partner extensively with teams across the company from marketing, sales to software and solutions delivery, and employee management functions.Trusted digital interactions are crucial to customer loyalty, both with consumers and commercial enterprises, and external requirements are heating up. Public scrutiny on the role of companies in safeguarding human rights in online and digital contexts is accelerating. As technology advances to include greater emphasis on artificial intelligence and automated decision-making, HP needs to respond. This role will strategically collaborate across different functions with business leaders, executives, and privacy peers, requiring a results-oriented privacy leader that can drive complex compliance initiatives. Acting as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals in relation to the assurance and audit of the Privacy and Data Protection Program.Responsibilities Leadership: Leads the development and implementation of recommendations and strategic decisions; identifies consequencesof decisions on a regional or global level and develops appropriate solutions and areas for program improvement.Collaborates and negotiates with senior business leaders to resolve highly complex audit issues; links Trust and PrivacyOrganization to internal and external stakeholders, such as Internal Audit and external auditors on all audit matters.Engages with program managers, account leaders, technical leaders, and executives to communicate program status, escalate issues, and guide and influence strategic decision-making.Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.Global Privacy Audit Program: Own development and documentation of foundational controls framework for data protection, and once in place, explore a partnership with Internal Audit (IA) to establish an internal privacy audit practice or other third parties to assess and benchmark organizational compliance to Company Privacy Policy, Standards and Specifications
