Our Assisted and Automated Driving Development team in Spain, that develops various software modules and new technologies to enhance the driving experience whilst working towards the goal of autonomous driving, is currently seeking a:

Hardware Engineer - AAD Hardware Module Platforms (m/f/d)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will work with the supplier to regularly review their progress against their delivery plan. You will ensure issues are raised and discussed with the supplier and escalated to PO and within the Squad as necessary.
You will be responsible for ensuring DT releases are completed for the vehicle phase releases as necessary with the support of squad members.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the supplier meets Network requirements and produces evidence for test cases which are reviewed and approved by the Network team also in accordance with their timing requirements. You can organise support from the squad as necessary.
You will use JLR technical teams from Grade, EMC and from squad members to review and approve the PCB changes for this project.
You will facilitate, review and seek approval for the EMC and Environmental Test Plans prior to formal DV testing.
You will update the DFMEA and liaise with the quality team to ensure the latest requirements are met.
You will be responsible for ensuring eBOM is kept up to date and support vehicle installation reviews or organise squad support as necessary.
You will follow the Hardware Design Process Requirements Specification processes and ensure the supplier meet their commitments for the project agreed at Nomination by reviewing and approving all the design and test evidence provided. You shall organise Squad members to support reviewing activities where necessary.
You will support your PO, Management and other JLR teams with status, issue resolution plans and necessary information e.g. ECAS(Grade and EMC), AIMS(Vehicle level Problems), APQP(Component Production status).
You will follow and be a significant contributor in your squad to Agile processes and ceremonies.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE A significant experience of hardware design skills and ability to review and understand how to read and analyse schematics and design calculations and simulations.
An extensive experience of electronic module delivery lifecycle in automotive engineering (i.e., Understands the ECU development phases and how they map to Software, Application and Vehicle development phases).
An extensive experience of electronic module design analysis including Installation requirements and design, Thermal Design and analysis, Environmental Specifications and test requirements, EMC tests and test plan creation, Electrical Harness specification and release (e.g., Device Transmittal process), Hardware Software Interface Specifications and Networks such as CAN and Flex ray.
A good understanding of fuse and harness design requirements, specifications, capabilities and standards.
Some experience of the electrical interface requirements of sensor sets.
A significant experience in approving supplier evidence to demonstrate module design robustness and reliability and hardware solutions which are cost optimum with the minimum risk to JLR.
An experience of a structured approach to problem solving by working with suppliers and skilled teams to progress the investigation to resolution.
A significant understanding of DFMEA and associated JLR software applications and processes.
Experience of FMEDA and application in safety critical systems.
A good understanding of the best practices of Hardware Design such as those described in GRADE and experience in the GRADE process is desirable.
A good understanding of EMC best practice is essential. Good understanding of automotive EMC specifications, test procedures and EMC test plans desirable.
Experienced in reviewing Environmental, EMC, Grade and functional test reports and engage with supplier to ensure issues are explained and resolved in line with JLR requirements.
