The Faculty of Law, Business, and Government at Francisco de Vitoria University is dedicated to promoting the global common good through training, research, and societal impact.

This pedagogical model encourages students to ask fundamental questions about life and the world, to learn scientific methodologies rigorously, and to grow in virtues that contribute to societal improvement in the tradition of Christian humanism.
The Faculty integrates undergraduate, master's, and continuing education studies and includes an applied research unit, the Center for the Global Common Good, and a unit for training political, business, and civil society leaders - the School of Government and Leadership "Isabel la Católica." Responsibilities: Conduct high-quality and impactful research in Economics, focusing on areas such as development economics, international economics, or economic policy.
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics, incorporating innovative, interdisciplinary, and experiential learning methods.
Lead and participate in interdisciplinary research groups and projects.
Promote the internationalization of the Faculty by engaging in global academic collaborations.
Mentor and supervise students at all levels, significantly contributing to their academic and professional development.
Contribute to the strategic development and implementation of the Faculty's curriculum and research agendas in Economics.
Provide academic leadership in the organization of conferences, workshops, and other academic events.
Requirements: A Ph.D. in Economics or a closely related field.
A well-established academic profile with at least six to ten years of research experience in relevant fields such as development economics, international economics, or economic policy.
A record of holding a tenured position as an Associate Professor or equivalent in a recognized university, particularly in an Economics Department.
A proven track record of high-quality research, including numerous publications in indexed journals, books, and chapters, as well as experience in leading significant research projects.
Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding.
Extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a focus on innovative and experiential learning methods in Economics.
High proficiency in English (C2 level or equivalent), evidenced by publications and teaching experience in English-speaking academic environments.
An international profile with substantial experience in global academic environments.
Experience working in and leading interdisciplinary groups, with a demonstrated ability to foster academic collaboration.
A strong commitment to the ideals, vision, and mission of Francisco de Vitoria University, with particular emphasis on Christian humanism.
Experience in organizing, leading, and communicating academic events and initiatives in the field of Economics.
Familiarity with and involvement in educational innovation projects and international research collaborations.
