We are looking for an Associate Product Operations Manager to join our global Academia and Government team! The Associate Product Operations Manager is responsible for the identification, evaluation, acquisition, and onboarding of content from digital repositories for inclusion in appropriate Web of Science collections using policies and criteria designed to select for high-quality content relevant to users of the product.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to further their knowledge of the publishing landscape and information services, and to contribute to the growth and curation of the Web of Science. If you have a solid understanding of data citation, we would love to speak with you.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments.

Bachelor's degree in Library Information Science, a scientific discipline, Computer/Data Science or related fields.
Prior experience working with electronic literature databases.
Experience with bibliographic policies, the scientific publishing process and best practices.

It would be great if you also had…

Knowledge of relevant digital library standards, including SGML, HTML, XML, or Dublin Core.
Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and tools such as Salesforce.
Cataloguing experience would be an advantage.
Fluency in an additional language.

What will you be doing in this role?

Identify and evaluate appropriate digital sources which can provide content (including preprints, data sets, images, videos, and software) in a range of scientific disciplines.
Liaise and negotiate with the content providers to facilitate gathering, inclusion and licensing of content.
Make use of metadata standards for resource type identification and metadata extraction.
Own coverage-related decisions and ensure these are completed and clearly communicated according to defined KPIs.
Prepare documentation, reports and presentations concerning the use and application of digital resources.
Collaborate with the appropriate Web of Science teams to ensure efficiency and consistency of decision making and accurate representation of the selected content.
Actively participate in team discussions about policy, process, and workflows.
Keep up with developments in the industry that could influence processes and products.
Support colleagues as needed in ensuring a smooth handover from content selection to content indexing.

About the team

You'll be reporting to the Director – Product Operations based in UK.
We are a team of 5 colleagues based in Europe and US.
This role is in the Web of Science product operations team, in our Academic and Government segment. Externally, you will work with customers and partners of our hosted content. Internally, you will work with product managers, and across functions including technology, marketing, sales, sales support functions, user analytics, customer engagement, UX and customer delight.

Hours of Work:
This is a full-time permanent position based in either Barcelona, Spain or Belgrade, Serbia and will require hybrid working (2-3 days per week in office, rest of week remote).
This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available to adjust to various global time zones as needed. The teams you will work with are primarily located across Europe and US.
This position will require up to 10% travel.
