Job Purpose:
RWS Spain is looking for an English>Spanish/Catalan Linguist to join its In-house translation team. The ideal employee will provide high quality language services and support to the translation team that result in excellent customer satisfaction, through tasks and projects, further developing language skills, techniques and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence – Provides high quality and accurate translations as part of a larger project team. Effectively understands source language content and applies appropriate style and terminology to the target language. Utilizes organizational and time management skills to deliver assignments on time and within budget.
Delivers Quality, Value, Results – Meets required standards for quality by understanding and correctly applying SDL's linguistic and project processes and procedures. May provide linguistic quality assurance (QA) testing of localized translations (e.g., software, help, websites, DTP, and audio output). Effectively learns and utilizes translation tools (e.g., SDL's language technology) to ensure the highest quality output.
Functional Excellence – Learns important translation and linguistic tools (e.g., SDL Studio) by actively participating in both formal and informal learning opportunities such as training programs and on-the-job experience. Applies learnings to develop higher levels of proficiency in translation skills, specialized knowledge (e.g., industry, linguistic), and cultural standards associated with source and target languages.
Relationship Building – Builds strong relationships with team members by actively contributing to team projects, taking initiative, communicating effectively, and demonstrating a commitment to achieving customer results.
Skills & Experience
Recent graduate (less than 3 years of completion) of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Languages, Translation or related.
Preferably, experience of 1-2 years doing Translation, English to Spanish/Catalan.
Knowledge of CAT Tools, Trados Studio desired.
Native level of Spanish and Catalan languages and proficiency in English.
Residing in Granada, this position is based at the office at least 3 days per week.
