The department is responsible for delivering service solutions on all brands enabling the service business within Vestas to fulfill its strategic targets.
The service solutions vary from building new turbine platforms (rotor upgrades), Multibrand upgrades, software-based power improvement features, site specific control tuning, life extensions, pre-owned turbine assessments, cost out initiatives, repair procedures, retrofits, etc.The department also holds the responsibility to oversee and support the operational performances like handling field issues, CIM cases, etc.
We are responsible for delivering innovative solutions to ensure the highest possible value to Vestas customers in the service business.
The team is located in different geographical locations and is expanding to meet the demand of a growing and changing business.ResponsibilitiesDevelopment and tuning of control algorithmsImplementation of control algorithms in MATLAB/SimulinkControl performance data analysis in turbine/fleet level controller tuning and optimisationFeasibility studies of new wind turbine products aiming at optimizing power, loads, and noise performance through innovative use of sensors, controllers and actuatorsVerification on all levels, including software tests and field testingRisk management activities such as risk assessments and failure mode and effect analysisDevelop support Innovation conceptual projectsPossess a broad insight and understanding of the turbine components and control strategyQualificationsPh.D / Master's / Bachelor's in Electrical / Electro - Mechanical / Instrumentation controls / Controls / Similar specialization4-7 years of working experience in Simulation/Modelling tools such as MATLAB SIMULINKSolid competence in mathematical modeling of Electro-Mechanical, Hydraulic SystemsWorking knowledge of Control Design and Control Tuning using a Model-Based Control ApproachCompetenciesSolid in Control TheoryProgramming knowledge in C++, SQLControl System Modelling, Controller Design, Controller Tuning Controller VerificationGood knowledge in Power generation conceptsKnowledge in Aero DynamicsAbout VestasVestas is the energy industry's global partner on sustainable energy solutions.
