Position: Assistant Equipment Manager Liaising with container rental companies to acquire new contract for buying/leasing the container. Working on import plan with agents to reduce empty repo cost to the desired location. Manage all idling container assets in the region (including damage, sale/off hire) to reduce the operating cost. Timely approval of EOR, segregate units by grade wise, Upgrade units based on the shippers' requirements Preparation and submission of MR collection / recovery report Meeting dept and organizational goals Liaise with FLOs, depots, leasing companies on pending MR approvals, turnaround of damage reefers, any disputes tt may arise esp from leasing companies after offhiring Ensure each depot to adhere to KPI set eg Inspection, repair cycle, etc. Ensure all FLOs promptly update their TMS container transactions within KPI set. Conduct regular audit with depots to ensure internal KPIs, repair standards / criteria are properly followed Liaising with container rental companies to acquire new contract for buying/leasing the container. Be involved in any IT/EDI enhancement, improve generation of reports, system changes Qualifications/ Requirements Minimum 5 years of work experience from the same field. Any graduate preferred candidate from shipping industry. Good knowledge of MS Office - Excel and PowerPoint Strong interpersonal communication (both written and verbal) Good communication and interpersonal skills Good organizational skills and meticulous Ability to work independently and meet tight datelines. Able to communicate in English
