This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of plant science, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and contributing to global food security.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and execute phenotyping activities to secure high-quality trial data collection and storage.Conduct data analysis to support data-driven decisions in early-stage breeding (PLC0-4).Collaborate with breeders, biological operations, and molecular marker labs to support breeding plans.Manage biological entities, data, and records using Syngenta's approved informatic systems (SPIRIT, MINT).Core FunctionsOrganize trial data collection, management, storage, and analysis for early-stage breeding.Collaborate with biological operations for timely planning and crop management.Conduct prototype trials, including pre-screening, data collection, and reporting.Manage seed production, inventory, and logistics.Coordinate marker-assisted selection activities.Provide technical data for product management and stage advancement.Implement new technologies to support breeding programs.Maintain relationships with external cooperators.QualificationsBSc required, MSc preferred in genetics or plant breeding.Strong knowledge of plant biology, genetics, and breeding principles.Advanced skills in trial design, data management, data analysis, and statistics.Basic understanding of plant pathology and plant health.Experience managing and analyzing large datasets.Proficiency in database management and R&D software systems.Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.Strong planning and basic project management skills.Ability to work effectively in field and greenhouse environments.Additional InformationLocation: El Ejido, Almería (Spain)Physically fit to work long days in the field and to stay focused under pressure.Capable of working in high or low temperature conditions in a field or greenhouse.Repeated bending and twisting of torso and wrist.Working Conditions While Performing Essential FunctionsField, greenhouse, and office
