British American Tobacco Spain has an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager – Andalusia Oriental in Malaga.
Key Objectives and ExpectationsThe job holder is the multi-category (Vaping, Tobacco Heating, Combustibles) sales area custodian and top responsible for quality of execution in all trade and brand plans within the area. Supervising main business-related key performance indicators to achieve, as SOM, IMS volume, distribution levels and TCI objectives for each trade channel.
Special emphasis will be placed on the "on the job training" and development of their direct reports, in order to assure the candidate pipeline for the rest of the company.

Your Key ResponsibilitiesDaily control of the BAT volume, market volume and New Product Introductions in the assigned area to study new opportunity or improvement areas.Driving and ensuring execution excellence for all Brand & Trade programs or activities among the area.Coordinating the implementation of Brand & Trade programmes, quickly reacting against competitive threats if necessary.Measuring and assessing results against RTM KPIs (SOM, Distribution Levels, OOS, TCP compliance and Product quality at retail) and Consumer Activation's KPIs (Visibility SOV, Quality of brand activation and TCI) to generate SOM Growth and BAT Brand's equity among retailers and consumers.Leading, managing, developing and mentoring the team to achieve a highly motivated and high performing team that performs outstandingly against the competition.Ensuring the appropriate training and induction for the team, in business relevant areas (Tobacco industries, product, competitors, BAT internal systems, legal restrictions, etc).Proposing and managing the area resources in line with TCI guidelines to improve return on investment based on key objectives for the area, as well as ensuring accurate resource allocation to team and to support implementation of projects/activities.Ensuring teams report daily in Company systems and that data captured by area team is correct to ensure accurate feedback for SRM, Trade & Brands teams.Engaging with key business partners to gain high levels of trade support and loyalty whilst improving understanding of the trading generation of ideas on how to develop innovative solutions for all sales channels in the area.Providing support to the Line Manager with relevant information on the team under his responsibility to feed the Talent Pipeline meetings.Supervising environmental, health and safety standards to ensure the company fully meets the external and internal requirements and build the best industry practices which further improve the overall wellbeing of our employees.What Are We Looking For?University degree.Good English language, ability to converse confidently (C1).Approximately 3 to 4 years confirmed experience in trade marketing/sales at Territory Area Manager/Sales Rep level or Brand/Trade Assistant level in an FMCG company that has incorporated a trade channel and account management approach.Experience in People Management.Excellent managerial & Interpersonal skills.Ability to empower, mentor and develop people.Good leadership skills and potential.Outstanding selling skills.Cross-market knowledge.Teamwork and cooperation.Strategic and analytical thinking.BenefitsWe offer a market leading annual performance bonus (subject to eligibility).
