Mission:The main mission of the Airworthiness Technical Engineer for Airworthiness Limitations Sections (ALS) Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICAs) is to generate and approve Airworthiness Limitation Sections (ALS), and to define applicable certification requirements for other ICAs (AMM, Trouble Shooting Manual, IPC, etc.)
and demonstrate compliance.Functions and Tasks:Contribute to the generation and approval of Airworthiness Limitation Sections (ALS), and define applicable certification requirements for other ICAs (AMM, Trouble Shooting Manual, IPC, etc.)
and demonstrate compliance for the different Airbus Defence Space Products (C295, A330 MRTT, etc.
).Provide expertise in ALS, ICAs, and other continuing airworthiness artefacts to the design organization.Contribute to Airbus DS Research and Technology (RT) projects related to the discipline (repairs using additive manufacturing, maintenance of future, etc.
).Contribute to developing specialized training for the overall Design Organization on the discipline under his/her scope.Coordinate and perform the airworthiness approval of Individual and Generic Repairs, exercising DOA/MDOA privileges (when available) as delegated by the Chief of the Office of Airworthiness.Support the timely achievement of approval for ALS, ICAs, Individual, and Generic Repairs through the identification of technical issues and associated risk management plans, identification of regulation and interpretation issues, in coordination with the design office, including relevant CVEs, Chief Engineer, and Services Organisation.Required Skills:Managing trans-functional and trans-national projects.More than 5 years of experience in the described functions.Master in Aeronautical Engineering.Proven experience in ICAs and ALS generation.Experience in Airworthiness functions, particularly in structure (static and fatigue) and/or systems certification.Experience interfacing with the Aviation Authorities is a plus for the position.Knowledge about the repair process and other ICA is desirable.Fluent in English (knowledge of Spanish will be a plus for the position).Capable of developing a CVE/DAE role in a short period after recruitment.This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation, and sustainable growth.Company:Airbus Defence and Space SAUContract Type:PermanentExperience Level:ProfessionalAt Airbus, we support you to work, connect, and collaborate more easily and flexibly.
